My childhood Sammy (creatively named Sam) was 13 when she died. She was energetic and strong up until her last minute. The morning that she died, she chased and caught a rabbit and brought to us.
According to the American Kennel Club, the life expectancy for Samoyed dogs is 12 to 14 years. However, there are some dogs who live far beyond that range.
